I was just wondering.. IS say a 68 to 70ish 383 balancer the same or interchangeable with a 440 one? So can I use a 68 ish to 70ish 383 balancer on my 70 440? thanks

Last year of the 383 was 71, they have forged cranks. So if it is a real 383, not a 400 then the answers is yes! But, the 440 has to be a forged crank. Not all 440's had forged cranks, but I think 72 and older where. Not sure on 72 but 95% sure.

theres a 64 dodge 880 in the junkyard with an engine. It looks like a 383 but I don't know. Balancer looks like it would work but again I don't know. :(

Should, as the 361 was a steel crank. As long as your engine is a steel crank.

Only if they were attached to an automatic, stick shift got forged. '70 automatic 2-barrels could also be cast.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
