Ok I need some of your guys opinion on how to re skin my 1/4's on the charger. The guy that did it the first time, trimmed out the old 1/4 like he should of, but then laid the new panel over it and ruined the body lines and used way to much filler.

As you can see the body line is in tact and it seems that we can just reskin it. my question is that should we trim and butt weld the new skin in or should we overlap it? The guy that is helping me, was a body man for years, says that overlaping it would be stonger, wouldn't I just be in the same place with stuff being off just a little. He said that he is willing to try the butt weld if that what most people are doing now, just would like to see some examples. What would you guys do, and do you have any pics?

I really dislike the idea of overlapping body panels. It seems lazy to me and then you're forced to put in way more filler than you would have otherwise and fudge the body line. If it were me I would cut to fit and butt weld but do it on either side of the body line rather than right on it.

I say butt weld.  Better IMO
