Leaf spring interchange?

Alright, the leaf springs on the Dart have been abused by shackles and are flat and stiff, and I'm sure that putting them back to the normal mounting point isn't going to save them, so my plan is to put the leaf springs I pulled off of the Charger on there, but I don't know if the leafs will interchange between the B and A bodies. . . anyone know?

I think the mains are different but you might be able to use some of the leaves .

You can go the other way by using an extended hanger but the B-body ones are too long to fit the Dart.  Like Hemihead said, some of the leaves may fit but the primary leaf is longer.

Thanks guys. They looked close. I guess I'll just return them to the lowest setting the shackle will allow and let it ride . . . I'm sure not going to buy new springs.

Have you considered getting them re-arched?

I've considered it, but I'm really trying to put as little money into this car as possible. There isn't much around here aside from bunk mechanic shops, etc. either so I don't even know if I could find anyone that would know what I was talking about, know how to do it, or not charge a killing when they shouldn't. I suppose I'll start by seeing how they do when I put them back to stock height on the shackles, but sadly I doubt it'll help much. The thing has some blown out air shocks on it too . . . pretty stiff and bouncy right now.

Ditch the Air Shocks pronto ! Besides bad ride and handling , they destroy upper shock mounts .

Oh don't worry, already waiting for the Monroe's to get here. I've heard too many horrible things about air shocks.  :brickwall:
