After watching some "FAILS" on youtube with those ramps, I don't think I would use them for a motorcycle  going through a small door. If you ride it up and are off center and hit the wall, you will have nothing to put your feet down on to save you and the bike!! Maybe going out, but you couldn't "HOLD enough of MY BEER" to get me to ride up!!  Maybe a minibike!!  lol... A full ramp, yes. Not one of those skinny fold up things.

Man...

There are some real sister sniffers in that video. :eek2:

But...

I've seen some high quality heavy duty aluminum ramps for loading large motorcycles.

Since these trailers sit much lower to the ground than a pickup truck, I shouldn't have a problem.

However,

If in doubt...

I'll make something.  ;)

Yeah, that's great, but you have to park with the front of the truck nice and high or be strong enough to pull the bike half way out by hand.. They never show you that part!!

If you go to see some trailers, maybe ride your MC to see it and line up with the side door just to really see what you've got.

If you end up having one build I can't see making the side door a ramp as being much more expensive..  I would think many manufacturers today would make that an option.

Also you may want to look on RACING JUNK as I have seen many Race Car trailers on there for sale in the past.

Lots of people park a quad or golf cart in the front. I believe most have a small ramp door up there. A man door would be a lot skinnier.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I was thinking the side door should be at least four feet wide.

I have a 24' Haulmark, 10k lbs. gross. Would definately not go any smaller. As mentioned above spend the extra on a escape door so your not climbing in and out the driver's window (really suxs). I bought mine used but am going to look into having one installed. One of those weight distributing hitches is also a must.

Ignoring my ugly mug... Here is NHCharger's trailer with my charger in it when he kindly picked it up and hauled it back to NH for me. Thanks again Brian!  :2thumbs:  I rode my MC over to Brian's place in the AM and we strapped it in transverse in the front of the trailer for the trip down and home. Bike is a 96 VFR 750. Fit easily up front with plenty of room for the car and some extra stuff floating around.
