Dug out some old News Paper clippings from the summer of 78', its sad to read and know how some kids were A$$holes, they were the ones that needed put down. I never ran with a pack, I had a Charger, didn't need to, read " INDIVIDUALITY ". It seemed like Chevy kids where cocky, Ford kids seemed cool, Mopar kids were great, can't imagine why? Let me be clear, NO ONE rode in my Charger without a seatbelt or with beer, we never thrown trash out of the windows or yelled at the homeowners. We did love our music loud, all we had was that dumb Dodge Charger's AM-8 Track playing Nazareth, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deep Purple, REO Speedwagon etc. think most was called Heavy Metal. I know of one old man that sat on his front porch with a shotgun, wonder what he may have been capable of? Thinking back it must had been a troubled time for the city dwellers. Some kids paid dearly for there misfortunes. It was hot and heavy some nights, the smell of exhaust and rubber burning, it's hard now to believe this really happened within the city limits, it was called "The Circuit". When I think back I smile about things that happen, and then some other image's come back, not very good ones, broken cars and bodies,    RIP Tom.      With me still living here I drive the very streets everyday so the memories stay vivid, very vivid, if you were not cruising "The Circuit" back then, 70's and 80's you did miss a wonderful chapter never to be repeated in time, of the history of Mopar Muscle Cars on the Streets.
It's hard to believe, but after Chrysler's at Carlisle this past year, 2013, a little spark started up in me, the next day, Monday, I crawled in my 70' Charger for the first time in maybe 24 years, damn that's was scary! I think I'm going to hook up a battery and push that 8-Track in, yes there's one still sticking in the player from that last night out and there is a fire extinguisher on board, it, the player, will probably eat the 8-track.

Looks like the clippings are to small to read :brickwall: :RantExplode:
Gonna try something else

Ahhh...like a case of Deja'vu, we had our own "circuit" in the 70's into the mid 80's we called it "idiot circle", as it was a downtown rotary plaza, weeknights street racing started at about 11 PM and went into the wee hours, Friday/Sat/Sun nights were just a free for all, street racing, bike racing, heavy hitters from NY/Conn/NJ came in for street racing, Hells Angels and the Brotherhood bikers kept the local cops at bay as they out numbered them in numbers and firepower, racing, drinking, drugs and women were the activities, and they were enjoyed to excess, Mopars were in limited numbers, but were usually the trouble makers, esp the NY guys

PS we didn't wear seat belts, beer drinking was on par with bench racing before the night got wild, if we weren't smoking weed, we were roasting the rear hides...crazy times
