I have all my OEM wiring... I think, and need some help identifying the sections.  Just so you know, I didn't take it off the car, it was all in a box when I bought it.   I believe I have the dash harness, two rear tail light harnesses, and the headlight harness.  I didn't take a pic one of them, but I believe that one was the alternator wires.  Once ID'd, I suppose I have to cut off the connections needed from the old harnesses to splice into my Painless wiring kit right?

1. Dash Harness??  Third pic is a close up of the yellow wires which are the door light actuators I think.

Close up of bulb sockets, but don't know what they hook up to on the dash... Any clues?

2. Rear Tail light Harness? The first pic is of one of them rolled up, second is the other one.  Which is correct for 1969?

3. Headlight Harness?  I think there are some vacuum lines in this one.

4. Unknown harnesses.

4A.

4B.

5. Ignition Light.  How the hell do you get the cover off to change the light bulb?!?

6. Unknown Part in the mess of wires!?!

cant really make out the color of the wiring in some of the pictures , be an idea to help identification clean the wires with laqure thinner or degreaser ,

& then have a look here  :2thumbs:  ,   just to make sure , I say this because  looks like you have a 70 tail lamp harness too !

Dino

That one rear harness looks indeed to be for a '70 as I see the turn signal housings which 69's don't have.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Just 6T9 CHGR

The unknown non electrical part is the A/C expansion valve

Thanks guys!  Makes it a bit easier now with what to cut off and splice.

I noticed that a few of the tail light receptacles have two black wires which connect to the base making contact with the bulb.  The painless kit i have has new ends that need to be crimped into the wire, but it appear there is only one black wire.  Do I cut two sections for the light receptacle and splice it into the single black wire?

sorry I have no idea on the painless set up !!

but the factory goes like this below

there are three tail light bulb holders each side ,  all of them have a black wire , that's for the tail lights ,  then the outer two double filament bulbs on the left side have a green wire  & the outer two on the right side have a brown wire too  , that's for the stop lamps & turn signal indicators
