What has happened to customer service?

So it's ok to pay double just because the new place will take pictures but it's not ok for me to suggest that a place charge a few bucks extra for the same thing? Your logic is baffling! Does he need any more work done? Shops will be tripping over themselves for that kind of return. Can you at least give us the name of this great new place?

AND he paid for work already performed? These will likely be the most expensive Camaro bumper guards in existence (if they ever get completed). They better shine brighter than an Elton John stage costume!

In my experience, it's usually Mopar specific shops who smile and chat up the customer while screwing them over.

I still think the whole situation is ridiculous. I try not to respond but it gets even more ridiculous-er! In all seriousness, I hope it all works out. I'd really hate to hear that something went wrong after all this trouble. If they look good on the car that's all that matters.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

So I was right in my initial observation that the shop had completed rechroming parts that were already sent to them?

They were started. Not completed yet. Thank goodness.

Second, it's not  my logic, but his. He'll pay more just to prove a point. Maybe they shoulda took care of his "stupid little request" huh? I never said Wayne hadda problem with paying more for a pic on the back of bill. I simply said it wouldn't kill these guys to do so for no charge.
Kinda reminds me of that old tale about the farmer walking into a Mercedes dealer with a briefcase full of cash. Never treat ANY customer like you don't need em.

End of discussion as you like to say.

I can't stand rich douches, tis true, but when they family, his money is green and  .  Spends. Bottom line, TCP screwed up by not treating him like a person who'd spend obscene amounts of money with them if they made him happy. Btw: the new shop has already told him they didn't like the job TCP was doing and a good thing they were yanked outta there.

It truly is silly.    Here you have an attempt to trash the name of a reputable company over a very small matter:
1. It isn't that the work wasn't good.
2. It isn't that they wouldn't provide the service in a timely manner.
3. It isn't that the wrong parts came back or were lost.

It's that they wouldn't take a photo of the completed parts?    To make such a big deal of it is petty.     On the surface, the request was not unreasonable, but I understand why they won't do it.    It adds another layer of back and forth emails, when the finished product is simply READY TO BE SHIPPED.

Lol, silly to want to be treated like a customer, yet, 25 pages of arguements about a car that doesn't exist.
wow, what was that bout a pot and a kettle?

I will confirm the new shop once pics arrive,  and Wayne is pleased. Goodness gracious, I wouldn't wanna give props to a business that royally screwed up.

Yes, on the ridiculous thread rating scale of "Zero to ECS", the Cuda discussion pegged the needle.  But this one isn't all that far behind.

I think we're getting confused by how *you* feel vs how your cousin feels. Part of the problem with third party accounts...

But if they charged an extra $5 for having to stop and take pictures of every part thousands of people would be on forums bitching about it.
I call bullsh*t. No way in hell it needs to cost an 'extra' anything when your paying top dollar as it is.

Apparently it does! Hey, if he's got cash and can buy whatever he wants and feels like he needs to "prove a point" by throwing money down the drain then good for him! He can afford to shop for the absolute best, kiss ass service. I see that you're the one who felt that great service shouldn't cost more - not him. Just because one company will do something doesn't mean all the rest are terrible. It just means that one is trying harder. BIG difference.

I'm still confused about the price. You say the first company charged a "couple hundred" for the unfinished stuff? And the new company is going to charge $300 to finish? No losers in this deal.

We do hate drama. Especially when it is over something so insignificant! You or your cousin or both, are bent over someone not wanting to do something out of the ordinary for them. You then come on here and bad mouth the company as if they did something wrong.

You or your cousin didn't like the way the person at that company spoke to him saying they didn't do what he wanted, that was out of the ordinary.

So then you come on here bad mouthing a company for something he asked and they don't do, but you don't like how he was spoken too. As a third party besides.

So do you expect that others will just take your cousins work for it? You want everyone here to agree with you and not use this company even though they held up their end of the bargain? That is just not right!!

We have around 15,000 members and hoards more that read from this site. We don't want the drama because of that and what you do not want to understand is that you are bent and badmouthing over something that from what I can see, no one else agrees with. It doesn't matter what anyone else here has said to you about this, you goon trying to put this company in the mud for what most of us feel is ridiculous!! Even with all the examples given!!

If I had started this thread I would have asked that it be locked or removed at least a few pages ago. But that's just me. Sorry if you disagree, but this is as best I can explain it to you.

couldnt afford a mopar, huh?
ya know, I don't know how this thing became. It just did. Anyway, Wayne is just happy he's being treated as if his business is valuable. Finally. Never had this problem with any other company, just these guys. I told him bout the bouchebag remarks about HIS polite, but someone can have the simplest thing happen with them and it's somehow different.
he then reminded me of how much I was getting paid to put up with it, and that cleared it up for me.
To all the haters/douches/fu*meds tgat thought this wasn't worthy of anyone's time except posting neg. Comments, F U.
