727 identification

Hi guys,

   could you please help me with year identification of my TF727?

I found on the case of tranny these numbers: A-727-B, PK4028424  5373  7276. This number 5373 is maybe 5873, I can't be sure

It looks like my 727 is from 1976-1977 440 V8

Could someone confirm that document is valid

The document is correct, it's from a standard performance 440; 5373 is the build date April 13, 1976 (5873 would be August 26, 1977) and 7276 is the sequence number (the 7276th built that day).

Look at the raised pad on the passenger side of the bellhousing, it will be stamped with a partial VIN that tells the model year.
