You had the option of adding a bulge hood on an SE model? I'm assuming it's an SE by the rear quarter glass treatment and the bars in the grille. Or was this photo taken shortly after you bought the car and added on one yourself?

Nice BTW

No, I added it shortly after I bought the car. Dealer ordered and painted to match.  I still have the original SE emblem from the first hood.  Good thing because I have the 71 Bee hood and the flat SE hood for mine now ... and guess what it needed.  Yep.  Glad I kept it all those years!
Little old 318 so the emblems on the hood are just the script and arrow.

Just located these up in the attic - memories...

Summer 1977 - first Charger @ 17 yrs. old. Totaled by a run-a-way gravel truck in Seaside Heights, NJ. XP, 318ci, yet abused it like it had a 440ci. Loaded with options - AM/FM, rear defroster, console, light group, etc.
Please understand it was supposedly cool  :icon_smile_cool: to have primer spray on your project car back in the day. For a punk kid(s), it symbolized you placed emphasis on the engine and not the general appearance.
Also, note the various vinyl stickers on the side glass. I swear that 'HiJacker' sticker gained me 50HP! Of course the drilling of holes in the muffler, inverting the air cleaner lid, and adjusting timing to purposely backfire on deceleration added to the thrill.
More silly s%#t - I purchased these light-shifting, self-stick letters from a local boat dealer and had 'Deliverance' spelled along the rear driver quarter.  :shruggy:

Fast forward thirty-seven years later:

...yeah, I'm having fun!!!

moparsr2fast

Traded a 400 Kawasaki  motorcycle  straight up for this buff silver 4 speed Runner back in '84. That is the brother in law and me saying hello to the camera  :icon_smile_big:

1970 Plymouth Satellite Sport Coupe (now being sold to a guy back east), I drag raced in High school, traded a dirt bike and 4 wheeler for it, then gave to my sister (who is now the owner of the Polara) when I bought the Charger
