Hi Charger Folks,
Been fitting a few of these for MoparFolks here in the UK!
Up until this week I assumed they were good old USA made??? :2thumbs:
Bought one off Summit this week, and guess what?

YEP, made in Taiwan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :brickwall:
Prevvious to this no 'MADE IN NAME' on the diff housing.
Bought in good faith as USA MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Come on Guys, we want US made parts!

Are these the same ones as before???

Can we expect failures AGAIN like the 'Chinese-Auburns and Cheap Chinese Clutch-units???????????

Not Happy 500JON

Definitely some weird stuff going on lately  :image_294343:

Awhile back a buddy of mine purchased a Detroit Locker for his Dana 60 and when the box arrived from Summit it was clearly stamped....MADE in Poland  :o

We now refer to this part as the PO-LOCK-ER   :haha:

Thats the worst part about much of the industrial race to cheap labor nations, the products don't get cheaper.

Taiwan and mainland China are worlds apart. Some high quality stuff comes from Taiwan.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Hi Charger Folks,

Seems like 'QUALITY' is KEY here!
So its not important where something is made, just that its made well at a good price!!! :2thumbs:
First generation parts where ever made always seem to have a higher failure rate?
Every Auburn locker I have fitted has failed!
The new Clutch units from WjWolfe have spider gear failures.

Now I look forward to the Eaton(Tiawan) disaster that will ensue LoL! :RantExplode:
Mopar-Muscle said the True-trac was Brilliant! But where were they made then??? :shruggy:

Early 'Indy' parts were a case in point.
572 iron Indymaxx max block was total Junk!(porous iron)
440-1 Indy heads are rubbish at best (constant cracks and porosity)

But the Modern UK Jaguar V8's were Junk too, (thats progress for you).

Think I will go back to UK Ford Capri's again!
At least you know they is JUNK!!! :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:
