Just perusing the bag and noticed this. There cannot be a '68 fender tag with less info stamped on it out there.  :icon_smile_wink:

Yep, that's pretty well stripped! Add in the color and it's gotta be a rare one.

I wish I knew how to decipher '68 tags. :scope:

Looks like hieroglyphics to me... :shruggy:

And its paint code is pp1 which is red , the tag looks like light blue and it appears to b on a gold car.
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .

I saw that the other day when the FAKE 440 4-spd with A/C car showed up;  a base V8 '68 Chargers is pretty well equipped:
With a 383 2bbl & automatic transmission its M.S.R.P. was at least $3325.95 (& I'd bet that power steering has always been there + 94.85)

Here's a tie for least info - a fender tag for a 318 car with an automatic & whitewall tires - minimum M.S.R.P. $3279.00

..... but you need a b'cast sheet to see exactly how few OPTIONS were actually on a car when built.
I have a pic of a b'cast sheet for a '68 V8 Charger (column mounted manual 3-speed transmission) its ONLY extra cost OPTIONS are:
306 - "black" vinyl top 85.90
43 - 7.75x14 whitewall tires 46.55
581 - deluxe wheel covers 21.30

for a grand total of $3193.75 - that's a "cheap" set of  '68 Charger wheels  :2thumbs: then there's the /6 cars.
