68 charger paint code 331 "charger red"

hey guys, i was reading an ad on moparts today

anywho he says 331 charger red was only produced on 50 chargers, and only 1 of 3 left in existence.. i have a 68 383 4 speed car i just picked up, it has 331 on the fender tag. is there any truth to how rare this color is? i could care less about value wise.. i'm keeping the car. just would be nice to know just how rare my car is.. it is 1 of 259 and now the 331 may break it down much farther.. anybody know any info??

It is false.

I have seen that color listed on about 10 fendertags now.  So there is no way that could be true.

 Very false......there was two for sale in WA last year 331, but it is not a common color for sure.

Way toooooo much money.  It is about 10 miles from my house.  I emailed the guy so I could come look at it, but still no response.

The difference between the 33-1 and the PP-1 is the orange look in the paint.  I thing mine looks orange at times in the sunlight.

Yes, you´re  .....same color
and my 68 is 331...
but are now silver.

I know of two 331 coded 68's.  To me it looks like more of a bright tomatoey reddish orange.  Come to think of it, I don't know why dodge didn't just call it bright tomatoey reddish orange.  Tipopiola

I red somewhere that spring introduction colors 33-1 and 66-1 had about 500 units  of each produced in late model year 68. But I also believe that both colors were carried over to 69. 66-1 became F8 and was widely produced.
