Non-A/C Heater Box question

Can someone tell me what mounts on the front of the heater box behind the metal plate? I'm missing something that locates two screws top and bottom toward the middle of the plate. If I set the cover plate in place, there are two screws that do not have a home, but next to where there should be a clip/nut on the box itself, there are two holes, top and bottom, as if something mounts in there. I'm not referring to the metal flap deal in that area, it's still in there. I kick myself every time I do a project and fail to document the dis-assembly . Thanks.

should be a metal strap I think from box to cowl to hold it up

I know that a strap mounts on the front but I don't think it would provide holes behind the cover to mount the metal cover to. Maybe I'm wrong because that is the only piece I didn't remove because I am missing it.

You're missing the heater door frame I do believe... if it isn't there the door won't seal properly.
