Fuel return line

I'm going to be running a half inch fuel line from my sending unit all the way up.  My '72 SE currently has a return line that goes to the vapor liquid separator.  This line originally came from the charcoal canister so it was more fumes than liquid.  My question is, would it be ok to run my return directly from a fuel regulator?

So circulated fuel will travel as follows.  Tank, pump, regulator, return line, vapor liquid separator, back to tank.

1st the regulator has to be made for a return system,2nd on carburetor set up the return line will need to be the same size or bigger for the return line if using an electric fuel pump. if using the stock fuel pump it should be ok to use the smaller return.

i dont agree with their line size, but this is the set up for proper fuel return

The regulator will be setup for a return.  It will be an electric fuel pump and the carb will have a matching 1/2 inch line.  My question was more based on will the liquid vapor separator handle the return duties?

I edited the picture to match what my setup will be.  It will be on a supercharged system which is why I will be using a 1/2 line.
