Hydratech Brake Assist Unit

I drove my charger for the first time after having the Wilwood disks installed on all fours. I was really disappointed because of the amount of pedal pressure required to make the damn things work.. I had a new brake booster installed, but obviously that wasn't enough, especially with the 6 pistons up front I guess...

After doing some research on here, I see a lot of you guys upgraded (resolved the issue) with a Hydratech Assist Unit. I'm seriously considering this, but unfortunately its not a cheap solution... However, I tend to think if you already have invested in the Wilwood 4-wheel disk setup, you might as well make the most of it and make sure that the whole setup works! Good thing is that I already have the Wilwood master cylinder, which is compatible with the Hydratech unit...

They sell the units with a bunch of different add-on options on the site (see link):

My questions are the following:

1. Should I go with the 4' or the 6' Line set?
2. Is the install fairly straightforward for a well versed mechanic? Or is there a lot of fabrication, etc. involved? Just had the FF Stage II Power Box installed...

Thx

The Wilwoods combined with the Hydroboost is a great setup.
Even for a schlub like me, it was easy to do in my home garage.

Wilwood does offer a power or manual M/C, make sure you have the right one. I had to enlarge the holes in the firewall ever so slightly for the booster mounting bolts, no big deal.
Only area I did not tackle myself was the M/C brake lines, as my old ones no longer fit and I did not have a bender. Plus the fittings on the Wilwood M/C were different. I simply mocked some up out of coat hanger, & sent them off to Fine Lines who made them in stainless. When I got them back they fit like a glove.

I do not remember if I got the 4' or 6' lines, sorry.
