Installing a brand new spark plug wire set on my car today, and I noticed that half have straight plugs boots on the spark plug end, and the rest have 90 degree turn ends. Is there any special reason/location for the 2 types of ends? Perhaps for one side of the car or the other? I just sorted them by length to guess which ones should go where.

It sounds like you purchased a generic wireset ?  Firecore makes application specific sets configured for Chrysler products that fit like a glove...no cutting, crimping or measuring required. Truly a plug & play product.  :2thumbs:

Typically, a 90* plug boot goes with factory HP manifolds while 135* boots work well with headers.

I got the mopar performance "restoration" set and it has all 90 degree boots, except the coil and one wire with a 45 degree boot. You can see it in the picture...

I wasn't sure where it was supposed to go, but ended up using it where it seemed to work best. I'm unsure which cylinder at the moment.

For the record, I like the quality of the wires and the price was decent as well. (They're not date coded)
