Sitting here having a few pulls of Blanton's for the first time.  It's really smooth.

I'm a Gentelman Jack man since about forever, but love to sample them all.   Sugar Maple Charcoal filtered anything is great to me.   Also, if you didn't know, filtering bottom shelf whiskey through a Brita charcoal filter cleans them up and smooths them out quite nicely.  In Tennessee, we call this the 'Lincoln County Process'.

I know there are other whiskey lovers on here.  Scotch? Bourbon? Rye?  Mix it?  Splash of water? Neat?  Sound off on your favorite.

I pick that up for a pretty good price when passing through duty free liquor stores in airports... Typically returning stateside.  However, I prefer Black Label, just as good without sticker shock.

Second go-to is Ballantine's Scotch, both withal a splash of coke.

Jack Daniels Single Barrel, haven't tried Johnny Walker Blue though.

Makers' 46 neat is my current favorite, all my whiskeys are served neat.  My friend had some really good stuff, I'm thinking it was Woodford Reserve IIRC.

Black Velvet is my favorite. In fact, I over indulged on a bottle just last night & as I type this, I'm still a little swimmy-headed.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Jameson Irish whiskey, 12 year. Strait. Or with some coke. Depends on the mood, but usually strait

Jack & Coke, it taste so good! I have gentleman Jack, and just tried Tennessee Honey Jack. For slow sipping I prefer the Tennessee Honey Jack. But Old #7 is my favorite.

Ooooo... Woodford reserve is some good stuff too.   Since Jack Honey was brought up, Wild Turkey American Honey is much better IMO.  Drop that in some diet coke and sip away.  I downed a whole 5th day one last time my wife and I were in Vegas.

Good scotch is meant to be relished straight.  :Twocents:

I think Jamison's is my favorite. Though I have gone through times when JD did it for me or Jim Beam. While in the service I learned the trick about filtering cheap booze. We made boiler whiskey and boiler wine. Let me tell you, if it was unfiltered it would burn a hole in the deckplates!!

We also found out in rather rough seas, that spilled booze cleans up oil very well... ;)

I wonder if filtering good booze would even clean it up more??  :shruggy:

Maker's Mark is excellent.

Wild Turkey 101 proof is good.

And of course, Jack Daniels. I've tried Gentleman Jack. Want to try the Single Barrel, but haven't had an extra $40-50 yet.

The best scotch I've had was Johnny Walker Gold. Very smooth.

And always on the rocks, whatever it is.

Glenfiddich & Bookers.

Have you tried a spot of Bookers in your port........outstanding.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

I enjoy Maker's as it readily available. But my current fav is Mitcher's American.  :2thumbs: There should be a law not allowing anyone to add any thing but ice!  It can be hard to find tho I've had to "import" it from Cali and Minn.

If you guys haven't tried Knob Creek Smoked Maple, you're missing out.  It tastes like whiskey-spiked pancake syrup.  I'm going to track down some Bakon vodka and make breakfast cocktails out of it.

Speaking of, time to go break the seal on the bottle right now...
