Carb restoration

Got my carbs back from Scott @ Harms Auto and the restoration quality was outstanding. I'd had them restored by the Holley Custom Shop many years ago, but all the plating was way off original. I've got no hesitation in recommending Scott for any carb restoration.

He also does work on other fuel system parts such as pumps, solenoins etc... He does amazing work and I have never heard a complaint for anyone that has had him do work - even from Moparts!

What does the correct pull off look like?
Do you mean the plastic caps for the mixture screws?

New here but from what I see,the original choke pull has a 45* nipple hose fitting,that one is the 4 bbl version and the O.E.M. mixture screws are knurled,not smooth.

First of all, thank you Jim! I appreciate your business and kind words, I'm glad you like the results.

Bird one you are correct!

These details were not over looked, it was simply a case of not having the correct parts. I don't have a good source for the angled replacement choke pull offs and can't rebuild them because they are crimped together (If anyone knows of a good source I'll certainly buy them!). There is a guy who does rebuild them but when he re-crimps them the appearance is changed so it's like picking the lesser of two wrongs, a straight nipple or an incorrect crimp. You lose points either way.  

On the knurled mixture screws, I replace the ones they arrive with unless they are damaged or I'm supplied with correct parts. I don't have a source for the knurled style (Holley is no help in the supply of small parts). Also, there are nylon hex slot caps that fit the knurled style that won't fit the style you have (Frank Badelson sells the caps).

To any of you, I am ALWAYS looking for ways to improve on details, I am all ears for constructive critique!

You have good eyes!!!

I looked through a bunch of old Holley carb parts and found these knurled mixture screws!! I had a quick look on Google to see if there were any correct choke pull offs (Chrysler p/n 3514654 or Holley 9-74) but didn't find anything.

Yes - they were originally installed. I don't have any yet. Will get some from Roger Gibson
