A/C Lines for 67 Charger, Painted Back or Left Stainless?

Good Morning,

I have heard differing opinions on whether the metal A/C lines under the hood were painted black or left stainless color (not painted). I'm trying to get the car as original as I can, and this is one of the last items I need to find out. Anyone have an original 66-67 B body with A/C that can tell me what it was from the factory?
