looking at ordering a new trunk floor, and due to lack of funds im looking at Goodmark $389 (after shipping) instead of AMD $442 (after shipping), any luck with Goodmark parts is there a lot of modifying or are they pretty close (as far as the floor pan goes, I know neither are perfect(from what I've read))

Oops... I had to verify...  I used YEAR ONE not AMD as AMD did not have the item in stock that I needed.  I was very impressed the YEAR ONE.

I was in the same boat a few weeks back.  I was considering other 'less expensive' options however I have learned the hard way over the years... you do get what you pay for.  For this reason I decided to wait for the funds and buy the proven YEAR ONE hardware.  I purchased the rear quarter and front inner fender (driver's side) and was not disappointed.  With minimal massaging of the contact points it came together better than I expected.  IMO I would sell something to get the $53 you need for the proven hardware.  The peace of mind that so many others have with YEAR ONE is worth $53 in my opinion.

I'll send you $10 just to help a guy out... PM me your Paypal email address..

I don't have first hand experience with the good mark 1 piece pan but I did use the 2 piece pan before and I remember it was not so great.  I would wait till you can swing the extra $50 and get the AMD piece.  :Twocents:
The AMD trunk pan fits very well. I had to ad a little material to the rear of mine but most people didn't seem to have that issue. And other than that the fit was spot on.

This has been brought up before , regarding floor pans. Your not dealing with exterior body panels here. I don't see the big deal is if you need to trim a bit off an edge or need to do a bit of shaping to fit the contours of the frame rails. I just got finished replacing rails and floor with goodmark. As far as I am concerned it all very well. A coat of bed liner and a carpet, and I could tell you I spent $$$ for AMD you wouldn't know any different

I installed my AMD two piece trunk a few months ago, the quality is top notch. Im just down the road in meridian drop me a PM and you can see the AMD piece if you want.

521 Restorations has them at a reasonable price.  I paid less than 400 shipped for both halves of mine.  Their site has them listed for 146 each without shipping.  They also sell 1 piece trunk floors.  I just did my trunk floor and the AMD 2 piece was a very well made unit and fit great for me.

Good to hear you made up your mind.  I have a thread started  in the chassis forum ( trunk floor, frame rails, perches)  couple pictures of my progress thus far.   I will post up some more detailed pictures of the " trouble " areas I had with my floor , which really are not that bad !!!

Cheers and good luck with your install !!

Lord Warlock

to do the one piece you have to remove the tail light panel/valence from the rear to get it in.  Unless you plan on chopping it in half.

Its still nice to have the one piece even if you need to cut it in half. You have a nice butt seam that you can grind down instead of the lap that the two pice ones have.

P.S. you can slip it thru with the valanve off and tail panel on if you move the center brace up and out of the way. Ive done it a couple times now.

I have 4 small clamps  to do a butt weld that i didn't use when i did my 2 piece unit, don't anticipate doing another floor pan or big welding job anytime soon.

I would highly recommend drilling out spotwelds and removing the rear valance or tail light panel since you already have the one piece, but that's just me. Just finished mine last week

That is alot of work to pull all that out !! Not to mention put it back in. Depends what shape your project is in.  If plan on paiting it soon sure go ahead !!

Just finished mine up as well .

Hard to say what's better.  I used a two piece because that's what came with the car when I bought it (abandoned project.)   A little work with a grinder and some filler makes the seam almost disappear but for those who know, you can still tell.  It is under the mat so when would you look??  Something to consider,  the AMD floor comes with all the drain and mounting holes  drilled so if you don't want to mess with them another manufacturer will be ok and you won't have to worry about the holes.

Edit...oops, see that you are committed.  So post some pics and let us see what you're doing.

If it hasn't shipped yet, is it possible to change the order to a two piece?  You an get the two piece for the same price as a one piece if you shop around.
