So i'm going to try to fix the engine in my 96' firebird it has the LT1.. its knocking.. does any body know what i'm going to have to do? or what i need to do? ???

a rebuild should do the trick

Pull the engine - it's toast ...    or rather with those you need to pull the car up from the K frame since there's not a lot of room to pull the motor from the top.

it would entirely depend what is knocking in the engine , are the torque converter bolts tight ???
