Laptop/PCMCIA interface/USB... some computer help

Well I have an Old laptop which I think is time to retire from job ( HP NX6320 ). Is becoming really slow for my job even I have added max RAM posible, changed the CPU for a more powerfull for it etc...



the deal is, I have an EMU audio interface which I don't want to rid off ( because it got Phono pre amp section what no one else have )




BUT it gets an PCMCIA slot card.

So, since there is not any more new Laptops with this slot equipped, wondering about some hardware reader with USB or Firewire output to link it to a newer laptop ( maybe Apple, maybe any other more affordable PC, who knows ). And wondering if it will work.

All I have seen is this product:



do you know if will it work ?

That might work.....     But Im suspicious of the word "read"  as in it reads storage cards and not an actual interface.

You looking for more of a PCMCIA to USB adapter or interface.


To me it would make more sense to get a New A to D converter that has a Phono in or if you cant find one....
Get a regular one then get a Phone preamp to line level converter.
