Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

RECHRGD

Good for you!!  I've been debt free for over ten years.  It's the only way to go........

It's a great feeling isn't it. Been totally debt free myself for about 10 years and still feels great.

:2thumbs:  I remember the feeling when I made my last payment.

Now comes the down side. The money you were used to paying out for the mortgage with will start to back up and bring up questions about how to keep it from losing value.  Sorry to hear about your new circumstance.

Congratulations!  Hope to be seeing more updates on the car!

Actually, sounds like a really good feeling, I bet.

With me on disability now, we just had to do a home modification for our loan so we could still have a roof over our heads...I'll be long gone before this house ever gets paid off...unless I inherit a ton-o-money, which I doubt...I got nobody left that has any money....

oh well, I can't take it all with me,

glad for ya buddy...I would have a beer for ya, but I don't drink

Hang in there, Cooter !

It'll happen for you.

I remember signing the papers on the original 30 year loan.

Just the thought of it almost killed me. :eek2:

Paid mine off last year.     Saving for property taxes is a little different compared to escrow BS but it's definitely a load off my mind.     :Twocents:

My wife and I are also counting down the days.  After that we'll just bank it for a bit and relax.  Then I hope we can enjoy ourselves even more.

Takes a lot of sacrifice doesn't it?  We do manage to go on vacations every year, but there are other things we do with out.

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!   :boogie: :smoke:

We paid off our last house and less than 2 years later we had a sinkhole. Now in this house we have about 3 more years till we are out from under.. But then it will be time for exterior paint and a roof on the shop and a new riding lawn mower and, and.... Wait, how much is that new rider????   :icon_smile_big:

Congrats brother!!!!
