Yep I have a set also.....just cant decide if I will put the year correct ones on

I would LOVE to get personalized plates for my cars but Kommie-fornia wants way too much money for them; I even had the plates all planned out:

Charger: AGTORNG
Camaro: RDOKTBR
Mustang: SHDWFAX
Firebird: NAZGUL9

Daytona R/T SE

I sold the car my set was on.

They expire at the end of Feburary.

In order to keep them, I have to transfer them to another car.

That car must be insured to put plates on it.

The only thing I have to put them on is one of my project cars in the barn that won't be

Driven for several years.

I'd kind of like to keep them...

But...

It just seems like a huge waste of money. :scratchchin:

Yup, that's why they're called vanity plates, because outside of vanity there's no reason I can justify having them on...

I run antique which can be customized now. Christine is of course, "CQB-241"
The rest are year specific felt gor General. Hr got just plain antique.

Thinking bout one for the Kowalski special.

I have two sets and agree the price is too high  When I ordered them it seemed like a good idea.

BTW my coronet came with vanity plates from it's day in the wild. They are ---MY HOTRT---they are blue and yellow calif. plates. If this rings a bell with any of those that survived those days let me know. I would like to know about the cars past.  It's the green hemi 4sp.

Lord of the Rings fan?  Cool plate ideas.

I had BOBAFET on my black Charger.  I took off the plate when I met Jeremy Bulloch and had him sign it.   :2thumbs:

I had personalized plates on a couple of our cars since they were first available here..then DMV wanted me to buy them over again because they wanted to change designs...I said screw them and licensed every car I could as a collector vehicle. I was happy paying my fee every year for the plates, but when they wanted to charge me again..that was enough

I did get this one for the Daytona..it's not "personalized"..it's a standard plate back then

plus a few of my others I had on the 66's we had..and a 64

Daytona R/T SE

I think my personalized plates are going to be "Wall hangers" from now on... :scratchchin:

I was going to do it for the Charger until the DMV here in NH told me it was going to be an extra $50 a year to register.  :o  It's only $18 a year with out.  What a scam.  :icon_smile_dissapprove:

Yea, I have actually met him several times.  He is just a super nice guy.  Here is the plate right after he signed it.

I have plates on all my cars. There are good reasons in addition to the smiles and yes vanity.

I always get them for my cars. I love vanity plates & trying to figure them out on some other people's cars.

The one I hate by me is 1NICGUY (One Nice Guy) on a Corvette. For some reason I just want to punch him when I see that one but we always laugh at it though.

Another cool one I always see is MY401K.
