Sorry for the numerous questions; but looking around doing my research and can't find explicitly the proper hose for my Daytona. I am getting a proper Federal power steering pump, but need to find a proper high pressure hose. Sooooooo, any of you guys out there who have put together a 426 Hemi with power steering, what hose did you get if you needed to replace/find one? These puppies are rather expensive, so I want to get it right the 1st time.....

Thanks..
Troy

The hose in the link below is advertised as fitting '67-'71 but that's not correct because the flare size on the steering box end changed in '69. With the correct fitting at the steering box end it might fit all of those years.  :shruggy:

Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Hey Troy,    when I took my power steering box to be rebuilt, I took my hoses there also and they just cleaned up the metal ends and reattached new hoses to my original end caps and fittings.  I really do not remember now, but I am sure I can find out, what the name of the business is but it is over in the Heights and did beautiful work.

The owner of the business apologized and said that the exact same ribbed hose was no longer available but he would put a good hose on it.  They completely rebuilt my PS box and cleaned it up like new and re-did my hoses in about a 3 day turnaround. As you saw, looks new and the hoses were the same exact length with the original fittings installed and shining like new!

I was very happy!  Just put a little flat-clear spray on the bare-metal box to keep it looking new! I guess this will not really help you with your quest for hoses but, if you decide to have the steering box rebuilt, let me know.
