Ghoste

Not to my taste either but as you say, to each his own.

Mopar Nut

Not to my taste either.   :eek2:

I hate bumpers, especially chrome ones on a 2nd 'Gen, but body colored bumpers just look wrong IMO... :shruggy:

I hate the color, the seats, the hood and the wheels, but the car looks solid so I'd consider buying it if I was in the market.  Oh and a note to the seller: no one give a flying frak about how much you spent on every single nut and bolt; his auction reads like a Wal*Mart receipt, lol...

Mytur Binsdirti

It's only a 318 car. Nothing worth fretting over.

"THIS IS A 69 CHARGER R/T 440 4 SPEED RESTO-MOD CAR. THIS CAR WAS COMPLETELY STRIPED DOWN AND MEDIA BASTED DOWN TO BARE METAL, THEN IT WAS PUT ON A ROTISSERIE. EVERY NUT AND BOLT HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH NO EXPENSE SPARED. THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR HAS BEEN COMPLETELY UNDERCOATED"

Why would you take 20 cans of undercoat to the bottom.  ::)  Not really my thing.  You spend all that money on that car then put those old, dated Welds on it. I would dump those wheels first thing.

To each his own for sure. That car? No.

If it was an original unhacked car he did that to........cement shoes for him.

I like it...... i would put chrome bumpers on it and change the wheels. Good to go.

Normally my rule of thumb is leave the body, interior and dash factory. I don't even like the white face's instruments. Anything under or sticking out of the hood is fine. Well with in reason.

Now in this cases, I really like the hood! I all wise felt the 2 Gen need a hood scoop. (I don't like 6 pack hoods on Chargers)  :shruggy: Far as the color keyed bumpers, :scratchchin: I like colored keyed front ones, rear needs to stay chrome. All you have to do is look at my icon to see my taste.  :D

Of all the things to love about 2nd Gens the dash is in the top ten. Don't F%&$ with the dash!  :icon_smile_angry:

All so spend the extra $50.00 on paint to paint the trunk!  :brickwall:

he tried the steve mcqueen look obviously in one of his pics  ;D

also I will never understand it once you get everything you dont take care of the paint such as polish it and wax it etc...unless his camera makes things look like crap which is hard to do these days since cameras make things look good, at least take better pics or something.

Im say this because im looking at this gas cap pic and it looks like crap compared to mine and I now he has a new one like me. I know his paint job is better than mine.....

69bronzeT5

Not a fan of the hood or painted bumpers. Otherwise I definitely don't mind it. Not my cup of tea to each their own. I personally love the rims..... :shruggy:

The guy built what he wanted. Whoopee, good for him. It's not a "one-size-fits-all" thing.

The things I'm personally not crazy about can be easily changed. Maybe someone else will come along that has the same tastes as the owner.

My biggest problem is the $49K asking price!  :pigsfly:

"Restored" is a word the is grossly misused this day, along with barn find, survivor, all original, rust free, etc.

I'd have to agree with Fluffy, excuse me, Tuffy.  Get it for a $20k price tag and you would still have enough to change it back to close to stock condition.

TUFCAT

My mother called me Fluffy once... ONCE!  :badidea: :icon_smile_wink:  Btw, the green 68 might have been well worth that money. It appears to be a very expensive professional build, and much more appealing as a pro-touring/show car than the red pos.

bill440rt

IMHO the $85K price for the green '68 is more on par vs the $49K price of the red '69. Personal opinions/tastes aside, it has a lot more work & fabrication done and more expensive parts. At that price I'd wager that 'maybe' the seller is breaking even.
The $49K is only an ASKING PRICE as well, there is a "Best Offer" option in his auction.

"THIS CAR WAS COMPLETELY STRIPED DOWN AND MEDIA BASTED DOWN TO BARE METAL, THEN IT WAS PUT ON A ROTISSERIE. "

Completely "striped" ? I see only one BumbleBee stripe.
Media "basted" ? Maybe it was basting while on the rotisserie....?

jessejames

Junk!!! Lol... Don't car for rims and bumpers

Moparheaven

Looks to me like the Green Car was WAY better done. Better mods. Not really a fan of either one. But the red one has way too much red. The Interior is Not Good. IMO

49K is a dream price. IMO for that car. xp29f car 318 car. Not an RT. Chrome is more expensive than paint.

I hope he sells his car. I hope he gets someone that falls in love with it.  These are just my Humble opinions shared with my Charger buddies. (looks like a Chevy Guy built a Charger)(not that theres anything wrong with that) :D

Alot of chevy/ford guys secretly love the mopar B bodies and most buy the parts for the mopars to sell them to fund their own chevy/ford vehicles.
