69 charger a/c duct removal driver side

Hello, I was wondering if somebody here could help me.  I am trying to change out the instrument panel lights on my 69 charger.   I was able to change out the 3 "57" style bayonet bulbs but can't seem to fit my hand up to the bulbs above the fuel/oil /temp /amp gauge.  Thinking removing the drivers side ac duct would give me a way to get my big hands up there, but can't seem to figure out how to remove that either!

Any help or tips much appreciated!

If you mean the duct on the side of the dash, by the door, you need to remove the flexi hose from the cast duct, it is a "snap" like buckle around the duct. then you need to remove the directional pivot from the bottom, and I belive one screw holds the cast duct in place.  You might gain access by just removing the molded piece that goes over the steering column. Just attaches with reverse C clips onto the flexi hose, and center section of duct.  Hope this helps. John

Thanks!

yeah I was talking about the molded piece that goes over the column.  I already have the center duct piece out and was wondering how the flex house connected to the molded piece.  Any trick to releasing those c clips?

Thanks again.

The duct and hose ends just slide into the clip. Thinking about it it's more like an "S" clip. 1 peice from both sides join by the clip. John

Thanks again!

I got the duct out and was able to reach 2 of the bulbs I needed to get to.  Or rather their sockets....  seems my cluster is missing the clips for the wedge bulbs....  anyone know if replacements are available?

Thanks again!

Are the holes which those sockets mount into 1/2"?  I was looking on eBay and found a few that looked like the picture but they don't show compatibility with a 69 charger (not surprisingly).

Thanks.
