Hi Folks,

Troy wanted to get a couple of pics of my 727 auto dipstick tube on my Charger for his project so,  he took a couple of pics and we had a short but good visit and he got to see my Charger for the first time since it has been restored.
Looking at my build helped clear up a couple of questions he was wondering about and we both enjoyed the visit.  Good seeing you again, Troy. I still haven't seen his Daytona but did see his '94 SST short-bed truck and it is gorgeous.

I wanna see the SST truck! Post up Troy.

Sorry for the miscommunication, cudaken.  I did mean hemi68charger! THIS Troy lives pretty close by and has seen my Charger before it was restored and now, after restoration.

hemi68charger

Hey ya'll.

Yeap, it was this Troy ( the other Troy; hemi68charger )........... I had a great visit and it was nice getting to see Carl and Debbie again. Should have made plans to stay longer, the stuffed Jalapenos looked like they were going to be great ( did you eat them all Carl ? ). Thanks for the Modelo.......

I was able to see Carl's Charger and it reassured me the avenue I was heading down was a doable situation. I have ordered the same headers he has, so it is nice to see I will have plenty of clearance and really no issues....... I like the way the original tranny dipstick is situated ( factory dipstick with a special bracket made up attached to the rear header bolt ).

Thanks again.....

Oh, the SS/T is a '98.... Last year of a two-year run...... I have a little bit of the hood on this shot......... Carl's '69 is gorgeous..........  and mean !!!!!

A Hemi 69 AND no snow.  You guys are just living the life down there.

Don't know why I said it was a '94 SST.  I do remember you saying it was a '98.  anyway, it is a really well kept truck and looks great!

I ate quite a few of the stuffed japalenos but I could have used your help finishing them :2thumbs: They were really great!

Glad your questions were answered with a look at the clearance issue installed in a Charger (there is no issue!) and, as mean as it sounds, I should have taken you for an actual ride in it.   Next time for sure!

I and my friend, put a lot of time (my friend), effort (both of us) and money (ME!!) into my Charger and it was nice to get Troy's approval of all the hard work done to get it to where it is now.  Got to say, in person, it is a real jaw-dropper with a snarly-sounding exhaust and it WILL back up that sound on the street!

Too bad more of his truck is not visible in his picture as it's a beauty of a truck!

P.S.  It was 81* down here yesterday and right now (9:40am) on Monday, Feb 17th, better known as "President's Day" these days, it is 68* at the house and going up to 76* for the high!  Nice but, watch out summer!!

Just curious.......what makes up the drive train and trim package on the SST?

Knew I should have moved down south years ago when I had the chance.

Looks like you two had fun.

There's still room for you here down in SE Texas! At least, for now! Ha!   It's never too late!
