Those 70 bumpers look like they would at least make great cores too.

TheAutoArchaeologist

While the cars do look a little toasty.  There looks to be a ton of good parts on them.  That 70 has many desirable parts.

DTB

What's worth pulling that you see ?

JB400

The entire front end on that 70 doesn't look that bad.  I'd almost cut some brush out of the way and save the whole thing.

Save the Pontiac as well

DTB

Assuming no title, what do you think is a fair price? Driver's side fender is dented in. Engine is still there, basically no interior/gauges.

70 sublime

If the frame is good enough to get the car out in one piece I don't think a $1000 would be too much
You would be surprised at how many little bits there are that come in handy or even just to be able to look at things for a pattern of how stuff was together

The dent is a easy fix, but how was the rest of the car? Far as the missing dash, even if it was there it would need to be rebuilt.

Is this the Charger you where thinking of buying for $3000.00? With the forest growing around it, it is hard to tell what kind of shape it is in.

Did you take any more pictures? What motor was in it?

Far as what it is worth, we will need more details about the 70!

Those are the only pictures I took. Between the trees, the Satellite on one side, and a smashed black 3rd gen Charger on the other, there wasn't much room to get around. The interior was basically all gone, a lot of rot in the trunk area. With the snow, I didn't get under there to look at the frame.Although as low as it was I couldn't of seen much anyway. I believe the $3000 was a miscommunication. I think he was referring to a 4 speed road runner that the price went up to $5k on  ::) I have to call him again on a price on a set of Chevy seats, I will ask on the 70 whole. Maybe he will consider scrap value + a little. I don't know how pulling it out would go though. The engine is supposedly a 383. Long block, no valve covers on it. I don't have much interest other than the tail lights but someone else may be interested. I think the guy may be hard to deal with.

HOTROD

tell him you'll take it for 3000 If you could take all the parts off the 68 then you could trade them for what you need , as long as the frame is in good condition!   :Twocents:

Would love to just get one of those going, minimal stuff and roll with it like road kill charger.

3k is a lot for me money wise.

from those pics its hard to say,...but at first glance that 70 should be rescued, it doesnt look too bad. of course its not worth paying a lot for, but it could be saved...

Depending on how the frame looks, that '70 looks fixable to me! Hell, I'm fixing this!

Well I'd love to bring one of these back from the dead but I would be biting off more than I could chew for a first time Charger owner. That being said, I called him. He said he'd have to have atleast 3000 a piece because these are going for a lot of money on ebay...  ::) ::) He didn't want to separate the tail lights from the 70 either. The 70 may be worth something but that 68 isn't worth near what the 70 is. If someone is interested in the car as is whole send me a message and I can get you the info. You may be able to wheel and deal with him. As for now, I will keep looking and seeing what comes up. Really I'd like to find a semi-complete car to start with so that I know what I've got starting out.

Homerr

Maybe if they were both R/T's at $3k.

How is the Coronet project coming btw Cody?

For reference this junkyard 69 charger could have been bought around $600-700 at the time.

Anymore I think he's one of those guys that want you to look at the cars but in reality doesn't want to part with them. Supposedly he was never easy to deal with anyhow. He will never list them on the internet, those cars will sit and rust into the earth.

DTB, depending on the frame and if it was a 383 HP Charger the 70 might be worth savings.

If it is not that far of a drive go back take a chain saw and $2500.00 in cash. Offer him $2000.00 and up it if you have to. You never know?  :shruggy:

Far as a semi complete Charger, what is your budget? A month or so ago a 69 Charger bare body that body work was done (In primer so who knows if it was done right) sold for $7100.00 with no title.  :scratchchin:

Yeah that sounds about right. I just wanted the tail lights to have.." oh no, I can't do that"  Yet, he cut the rear of the 68 off in years past for someone... Oh well I'm not too concerned. It would be a lot of work to get back to where the car was to drag it out.

My budget..well just depends on the car. I'd like to find a good roller and work from there. I may of actually found a good restorable 69, I will see how this pans out.
