"why did you do this?"
"How come that is on the car?"
"That's not stock?"
"This should not be there!..."

I found this the other day....says it all as far as I'm concerned I thought it was great...I should make a window sticker

Good lord man, what did you do to get those reactions?

( I mean this good naturedly, not picking at a wound, just wondering  )

Nice. Sign me up for 3. One for my truck, one to put on my air filter lid, one for my tool box. Best explanation for everything.

So that sticker could apply to Chargers with big wheels, General Lees, or HEMI clones?  :scratchchin:   :D

You guys must work a tough crowd, my car is all boogered up and I don't know that I get that kind of reaction except on occasion.  :shruggy:

Troy

I get it all the time! The only one no one complains about is the Mach 1. The Mopars - everyone is a friggin expert...

Of course, I put 15-20k miles per year on my old cars so I have a LOT of opportunities to meet random critics.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Ghoste

Hmm, I do put less mileage on than Troy and cruise nights etc, bore me to tears so I tend to avoid static opportunities for expert scrutiny so that could have a lot to do with it.  And I typically leave the hood down and ignore anyone who doesn't appear to have a legitimate car interest.  I guess I don't give a rat much what someone else says or thinks about the car.  I'm my own worst crtitic anyway.

Chargen69

I dread it, we didnt do much of anything stock on my car.

charge69

I have yet to attend a cruise night or show with my car. I do get people walking up to me and wanting to talk about it at the gas station but have yet to hear a negative comment about it.  Just driving around my area and enjoying my Charger is good enough for me.

Sitting in a lawn chair for a few hours behind my car and worrying about someone scratching it or stealing something off it for a souvenir just isn't for me. Answering criticism or expert (he said sarcastically) questions about why I did this or that to my Charger would probably just get me in trouble anyway as my temper is a little shorter than it used to be!

Highbanked Hauler

I used to get it at Carlisle years ago but being in stock car country now most anyone who knows what the car is that makes a comment likes it the way it is. :shruggy:

A guy I know had a Cougar Eliminator turned into a drag car.    It had a perfect dash pad that had been cut for the cage or something.    Although he did not perform the mods,  when people would comment on it, he would go out of his way to explain that he had done it, and, "what's the big deal?".    Just to get them going.

6spd68

Great post OP.

I used to get pissed when people would harp me for what I did to my T-bird (2.3T to 347N/A conversion).  Then I stopped caring.  I made my car perform 3-4 times better, and also made it 10 times more reliable...  The rest of the world can sit and twirl...  :2thumbs:

I would buy one if it was a magnet.  Kids don't need to see this in traffic.

RTDaddy

Perfect, looks like we need to work up a "group buy" for that one.  My general response, "If you're gonna pick at the car like that, where's the pocketful of cash to buy it?"  :icon_smile_big:

A383Wing

I was thinking of a window cling.....instead of a magnet......if there's enough interest, I'll pursue this..I'll get quotes either way....maybe I can get both styles done for not much money

Any input on what size everyone would maybe be best?
