What all do I need to get to install a new windshield into my Charger? Got new glass and have a buddy who owns a glass shop is going to install it. Also where's the best place to get a gasket for it?

FSM said to run a bead inside the gasket where the glass inserts and inside the area for the metal also, plus along bottom by dash then install glass with gasket in place on car. You want sealant in the glass slot or it will leak, depending on supplier for windshield and manufacturer of gasket I've heard some glass is thinner than factory thickness. Also, check the condition of your trim clips, this would be a good time to replace them.

Link for gasket.

I used nearly 2 tubes of 3M 08509 glazing and bedding compound.

I also purchased a set of trim clips because many of mine were rusted/ missing.

Cheapest price on Ebay for the Precision gasket: http://www.ebay.com/itm/68-70-MOPAR-B-HT-WINDSHIELD-RUBBER-WEATHERSTRIP-MOLDED-SEAL-NEW-/121000139733?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c2c2b9bd5&vxp=mtr

I recommend not putting any sealant in the glass slot/channel until you have the windshield in place. You need all the room you can get and will need to lubricate the channel. The 08509 has kind of an expanding property; I ran it in the channel from the outside and in most areas you can see where it crept around the glass and into the interior side.

Other good things to have on hand are some windshield sticks to lip the gasket around the windshield and to press the lock strip into place and plenty of rags/ plastic razor blades to help clean up the squeeze out.

Where did you get the trim clips?

All I did was supply the windshield, gasket, & installed new clips prior to the installation. The glass company supplied everything else including the sealant.
The kit terrible one referenced is a good one, the screws have the protective wax on them.  :yesnod:

I did the same thing as Bill. The glass company charged me $125.00 to remove the windshield 2 years ago and install it last month. Life time warranty for leaks. I tested the windshield last week before installing the trim, had a leak in the DS corner. They came back and fixed it yesterday.
