Hi Guys

I'm converting my 71 from manual brakes to power but I'm not sure if the brake booster and the master cylinder where painted or left natural?

Any suggestions? :scratchchin:

Don't these parts normally rust if left untreated?  I would paint them to keep the engine bay looking good...

+1 on painting the master cylinder a 'cast' color or at least wiping it down with wd-40 regularly... just installed a new master cylinder, and the next time I opened the hood (less than two weeks later) it has a nice even brown coloring to it  :Twocents:

And for the rest of us that didn't paint it, I'm assuming we can 'prep and paint the master cylinder anyway?
