Just a warning to everyone. Careful on this one for anyone who is interested. I tried to buy this one for years when it sat outside by my house before it has gotten as bad as it has. This car is in way worse shape that it looks. Barely a good parts car. It keeps getting worse & worse everytime I see it & everytime it is up for sale it is way higher in price. Beleive me if it were saveable (reasonably) & at a fair price I would be all over it. I want another street sleeper Rat Rod type Charger again badly.

Then it must look really bad because it looks like a pile in the pictures.  That drivers side door jamb area is a mess.

It's bad. It looks like the gauge lenses were taped off in the interior & then the entire interior was spray painted tan to replicate the tan interior in the real General. No idea what color the interior was originally. Sprayed right over all of the chrome trim & everything just like they did in the TV show...... I think it started off at like 6G's many years ago then went up to 8G's & just keep climbing even though the condition keeps getting worse.

Its been autographed, is that worth an 13000?

I believe I remember seeing all of the autopraph's on the underside of the decklid before at a cruise night. He can keep the decklid but still I would't pay 3G's for the rest. Well, Maybe If I had the spare coin.

I cant buy it no matter what anyway.  He says its for serious buyers only and I'm much too silly. :silly:

Looks like a rat rod right now.  :yesnod:

Is it an original 4-speed with A/C car?  :scratchchin:

I want to find an ole crapped out roller Charger with patina & all & put a nice stroker with all of my spray just to play around at our No E.T. nights & on the street.

From what I remember I beleive it was. I don't recall if it has a fender tag or not.

Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

Funny how everyone looks at it and thinks its junk, but if someone jumped it, everyone would be pissed.   :nana: I agree, its a piece.  At least you could have fun with it if you could get it cheap enough. :2thumbs:

Ghoste

It is junk but I think its the price that has everyone most up in arms.  If it were priced to condition it would be a different story.  As for jumping, I think my opinion of that stupidity is well established.

Looks like a great beater driver like road kill, then again road kills charger did not have that kind of rust.

Sometimes a seller asks way more than what their car is worth.  Big deal.  It happens 1000 times a day all over the world.

I agree, it's common fact buyer will always ask a lower price vs asking hence as seller we ask high anyways.  If u ask 30k they want 25k, but ask 25k firm they still will say 20k cash etc...

Dino

About 3-4 years ago I had an ad on CL looking for a 69 in good driver condition and I received pics from that car.  The seller told me it was in great shape while I could clearly see the rot in the pictures.  Strange fellow.  Pretty funny to see a GL in Detroit.

I would have to see how well it jumps (flies) before deciding.....

Not only that, but jumping adds value.

The same POS rusty hulk that was "worthless" when it was for sale becomes a "restorable car that should have been saved" once you crunch it.

Ghoste

Yes sellers do ask more than items are worth.  So you think it should be no problem getting him to discount that car 90% or so? :D

Yep, dreamers are a dime a dozen.  I'd say the average of this group of listings is about 50% overpriced.

The Kansas City & Nashville adds are exactly what I am looking for to just slap a wicked drivetrain in it with spray to play on the street. I just don't have that kind of coin laying around at this time.
