I didn't know when Australia day was or what it was until you posted it today.  Thanks for mentioning it.  When grocery shopping today with my wife, we used a bag we picked up in coral bay (WA) to pack our groceries.

Usually, we just pack them up and go, but today we reminisced a bit about a large tiger shark we swam over with our kids while on a snorkel trip.  I know you all say you have to live with them and respect them, but it was not something I wanted to see or want to see again at that proximity.  It was quite a bit bigger than me and the guide was initially confused because its stripes weren't obvious because it was an old one.  Other than that shark, the trip was relaxing (all was amazing).

Also glad to see the return of Fred.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....
