You Europeans don't have to worry - it doesn't have the same effect when someone throws it at you.

The "Self Defense" market is huge these days and there are lots of gimmicks when it comes to bullet technology. Most haven't proven to be all that good. Besides, having a "magic" bullet doesn't do you much good if you can't hit anything, don't have access to the gun, or are frozen with fear. It's a good way to make a lot of money for the company though.
