 ???We need your help/advise here,PLEASE!!
As well as restoring our '69 Charger SE  last summer,we had the carb rebuilt and there is still a problem when it's cold...the car 'coughs' when you step on it ??? After she's warmed up there doesn't seem to be any probs.  The guy said she still needs a "CHOKE STAT", and he couldn't find one. Ours is a # matching 383 2brl. There has to be something that can be done? Either that or we just go to 4brl... ;D
Any help would be greatly appreciated here guys. We all know that Chargers do NOT run like this :'(
Thanks for your help on this guys ;)

Welcome to the site charger lady.

The part you are looking for is a choke thermostat.

The link below is to another thread where we were talking about one for a 383 4 bbl, not sure what is used on a 2 bbl.

Charger Lady,

I am pretty sure I remembered seeing one of them on Ebay lately.  I also think that the 2 bbl carbs used a different choke stat than the 4 bbl due to the size of the carb.  Another place to check is Bill Alphin at http://www.amhightechauto.com/    Really good guy to deal with.
