Is there a way to change the bulb on the top fender indicators?  If so, what kind of bulb does it take?  I can't find anything in the service manual.

depends on the style of indicator...got a pic?

It's either gonna be a 330 or a 194 style

Ghoste

I thought 72 was the same style as 71 so that was where I based that guess.

I don't think they used the small 330 bulb after 70....so I would think the 194 style would be used

Ghoste

According to the 71 fsm they used it at least one year after 70.  I have a 72 fsm here somewhere so I'll find it amd verify.  My gues was based on 71 72 being so similar and then 73 74 being like the next sub group.

yes 330

this is the 71/72 kind

which is attached from inside the fender

it seems the socket can be removed to change the bulb, keeping the bezel in place, just like 70s hood indicator using 330 bulb

and this is the 73/74 kind ( using wedge bulbs )

which is attached from top with a phillips screw and removing the bezel is how you gets to the bulb ( waaaaay easier ). Socket and gasket are one piece which weeps inserted on fender hole.

JUST IN CASE you can't find the 330 bulb locally... despite the crazy prices around the web ( just because they say for Mopars ) and go directly to www.bulbtown.com

there is where I bought those to help a friend locally with a 70 R/T 4 speed ( they are unavailable down here )

less than a buck and shipping quote was accordling... instead $10 for a pair I have seen on ebay

Thanks for all the info, fellas!  It is the style that Nacho confirmed.  So 330 it is.
