Looks like Chevrolet is looking to go head to head with the Raptor.  They teamed up with Lingenfelter and few other companies to create the Reaper.  Not surprising though, they're using the same shock package that the Raptor is using.  Looks like it'll be sold like the RamRunner package and sold through selected dealers as a bolt on package for the standard Silverado.  Power comes from a supercharged LS3

I hope they do well with it.  It'll be good for the Ford and Chevy pickup guys to keep their rivalry going.

I think that is the front end that they should have put on the production truck. I think I'd do something different with the headlights, but other than that, it's not bad.

I am curious though as to what Ford will do with the Raptor since they redesigned the F150 :popcrn: :scratchchin:

That doesn't sound like a Raptor to me. Seems like a bunch of after market bolt-ons (much like a Saleen or Rousch Mustang). A Raptor has some significant changes to the base truck.

And I hate, hate, hate "off road" trucks with step bars - this one even has steps hanging down from the bars! Why put on a "long travel" suspension and then hang up on the first obstacle you encounter?

I was going to comment about using a crew cab for a racing truck. Heavy mofo! I didn't think you could get a Raptor bigger than a Supercab but I see them on Ford's site now. Must have had to sissify it for posers who will never take it off pavement.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

The Reaper is just a package that can be bolted onto any cab 1500 Silverado 4x4 pickup.  It can be bolted onto a regular shortbed pickup if that's what the customer wants.  Don't know if the Ram Runner is the same way.

As far as Ford expanding the Raptor lineup to include different cabs, it makes since to me.  Most people will probably just play around in a field and on trails with it somewhere.   It'll just allow you to take more buddies along.  Or, more girls

What's with the Mitsubishi snout? The new Z71 grille treatment looks just fine.
