Hi!

I am going to start my factory built 440 engine.

Am i going to use zink oil when i first start the enngine in 20 min?
Or do you guys have any ideas?

You not only need high-zinc oil on first startup but from then on.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Thanks for answer!

Is that so?

Talked with the engine builder about it but he didnt say ill need it all the time.
What oil are you running?

Any engine with a flat-tappet camshaft needs the continued protection of high ZDDP oil, any engine builder that gives you contrary advice is questionable; personally I use Valvoline VR-1 but Brad Penn or a ZDDP additive would be a good choice for an initial startup.

I do be`believe Royal Purple has the needed zinc. I use STP Oil Treatment with zinc, cost around $3.00 US and it seems to do the job.

Hi!

ok, but i do not need to use a bottle of this all the time then?
Just use oil with high zink right?

When i brake it it, is it 1500-2000 in 15 -20 min?

Yep , big fan in front of car, if warm weather here you are, extra friends on stand by , tools at the ready for any leaks that may pop up, good idea to check over everything tight connected again first, water hoses etc , primed the engine oil pump as shown on threads on here,
Got spark, power fuel , go for it , get one of those friends to film it and post on here , hope all goes well  :2thumbs:
