To each their own, huh?

Guess there is a following to that type of thing, just as there is a following to restored, customs., or...dammit, cant remember the last one...a modified muscle car...ya know, upgraded suspension and stuff....?

Off topic, but that seems like a lot of work to make the wheels fit....no?

Ghoste

It's not a look I care for much but I guess the guy who does that likely thinks my cars look old and boring?

I never understand why someone would put purple splotches on some perfectly nice rims.  Do you?
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

I like how the model name has been cut out of the grille.  They must be a lot easier to find than good Charger grilles.

The more important thing is why Im here looking when the title clearly states I will be disappointed.

"Donks" ....
what I have a hard time believing is the ones with SKITTLES/DR PEPPER/McDONALDS etc. Painted all over it like they sponsored them or somethin.

The funniest one I did see was "BUZZ LIGHTYEAR" on a Caprice from the 90's.

It's a Chevy. 'nuff said.

Its a Buick, but we get the point. It reads "SKYLARK" in the grille.

It looked like it read "DORK" at first.   ;D

Poor sad Buick.

Someone needs to make a low buck simulated disc kit for the donker dub crowd.  If you can't afford discs or you just plain don't care about stopping your rolling crib yo you just bolt on a set of fake discs featuring any color rotor and caliper you want and giant rotors all drilled up and stuff yo.  Only be stopping long enough to throw fly honey hos in the back anyway dog.

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

OP actually isn't that bad...  Think about it, in essence, the car is a 70's G-body, think what the Cutlass, Monte Carlo, Regal, Bonneville, ect crowd was in the 80's.  Therefor it's understandable why they get done up like this.  Just look at places like Atlanta, those things are everywhere.  With the abundance of GM cars from that era, it's no suprise that someone took a 5000$ car, and stuck 4000$ rims on it.  I'd have done a little more with it personally, but it's really not THAT bad.  Which would you rather see rolling around?  That car, or a 90's FWD Buick sedan with those rims (YES, I've seen that...  Vegas is a weird place.)

In all honesty though, take the car, sell the 24's on Craigslist, put that cash into some Cragars, slap some discs on her, tune up the driveline a bit, clean up and dye that yellow interior, and you've got a decent ride.  Hell, even keep the 24's, just get discs, and change the interior and it'd still be fun'sh...

Personally i would of went with 30s, some black almost convinced me to put 24s in the rear of the 68, almost.

Ghoste

The sound it made when their moms dropped them on their heads?

Tilar

I'm not sure of the original intent, but "Donk" just flat sounds goofy, and the cars look goofy with those big ass wheels so I figured it was named right.  :shruggy:

I'm surprised they didn't go with gold plated wire 13" wheels :eyes:

That look is for the pimped out 70's Cadillacs.

I don't see any gold ones there.

About as good as it gets when referencing lowriders and still be tastefully done

I enjoyed seeing "donks" wrecked out when I lived in NC. Broken control arms, broken rims, even watched one guy run over his own wheel (hub and spindle still attached).
