I put Top Cat in my 69....fit great!
When I had my 73, there was a new set in the trunk (but the original packaging was gone, so I don't know the brand), They were garbage, real flimsy and did not fit well.

Anybody know the quality of year ones? Or their door seals even?

Nacho-RT74

In my resto world ignorance back in 2002-2004 period I got what I could from YR1... and one of the things I got is the weatherstrips... I told never more. Got a set last year from Top Catwiskers and will be soon installed

True they sold standard set for 3rd gens, not Premium set like they offered back in the years for 2nd gens ( dunno now )

I got PUIs from Year One for a 2nd Gen and the chrome trim is not wide enough to properly cover the upper door pads. I got Top Cats to replace them, which are the same width as the originals but I'm waiting for a new set of door pads before I install them.

Another discussion on Brand X.

That was an educational thread.  Learned about First Place reproductions and Restoration Specialties reproductions, which both sound like top shelf replacements in the cat whisker field.  But I also learned what a straight shooter the guy is who runs Dixie Restoration Parts.

First Place looks like they got bought by Trim Parts.  It looks like they are going to continue production of FPAP through Trim Parts. Has anyone bought the FPAP whiskers?  I will be needing new whiskers in a while and will keep watching this thread.
Check out my full thread and progress here.
