Well I didn't say I was leaving. Just saying what was on my mind is all. Time will tell. Some people just have no idea how much of a Prick I can be if I set my mind to it.

Don't worry about these clowns online in real life I'm sure their cool dudes.  I been made fun of for my 20s in the back i still hang out here due to alot of great information given by senior members.  They are always helpful and i break it up with buy/sell ads that are funny/interesting.

'74, follow your own advice. Don't let some naysayers get you down. Your car looks GREAT. The only person you need to please is yourself.

I don't care for the shaker in the most recent one TBG.  I don't care for most hood scoops on 2nd gens though.

I like the cool blue on black but I cannot count the decades that I have been sick and tired of looking at flames.  It has been done to death over and over and over....

Tons of cars look cool with flames on their own, nothing wrong there but I just don't understand why flames are still even considered.  Same with skulls and the whole death thing.  I used to think it was cool when I was a bit younger, maybe I just got tired of them and maybe I see enough real death that I don't want to see this stuff, I dunno.

I did plenty custom work in my time and you know what?  They never match up to a restored or more subtle custom.  This 'in your face' stuff gets old fast.  Extreme customs or rods are a blast to build but once done, they can really get boring fast.

You have some real good photoshop skills man, go a bit more nuts with your design.   :2thumbs:

I do dig the black and white idea, Id' have a lot of fun with that.   :D

ps if flames is what you want then by all means, have at it.  My opinion is just that.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Now your making fun of my car, how she was oiringally found:

BROCK

I feel that really good flames are timeless

Unfortunately, even with reading every kind of car rag since these
cars were new:  I've only ever seen maybe 10 that qualify as that
good :drool5:

1 that I wish did make the cut (I'm a finicky coot) was in a Cars
article by the name of "Bad Bird".  Yes, it is/was a Superbird.  It
was only the shape of the flames that knocked it down for me.
All the colors were great. There was/is a 71 Plymouth Satellite
that makes the cut in my mind's eye. I can't find that rag, so any
reference is completely gone.

Have you played with ghost flames?

I don't care for most hood scoops on 2nd gens though.

At the risk of seeming like an old curmudgeon purist, The 68-70 cars have great stock hoods. The indents are unique and fit the flow of the car. Hood scoops on our cars look out of place. I'm conflicted about that too. I'd like the option to run a taller intake manifold but I cant fit anything taller under my stock hood.

I like the flames with the scull. When it comes to the wheels I'm old fashion and like the stock look or keep them with 15's. Never a fan of the big wheels. I wish that I new how to do this. Seems like fun to change your car's look. Regardless of the paint job you put on that car, it's a sweet looking car.

I tried using the photo you provided but the difference in resolution was way too much. (Hood appeared blurry) It looks like a 1973 Cuda hood and I did a Google search looking for one but couldn't find one that didn't need excessive distortion to get it to fit. If you or anyone can provide a high rez picture of a Cuda hood that is theirs or friends or car show(Does not have to be black but it helps) in roughly the same angle as my front clip I will give it a go. I will keep looking also.

Nobody wants to see a mans rod and balls on the side of any car.
