My buddy saw my video on facebook and told him what I got (300HP, 383ft-lbs) and he private messages and tells me, "Not to be a DICK, but I would be embarrased with those numbers posting them for people to see publicly'  I was like, "Its not bad I thought it was good thats to the wheels remember that thats not some made up number.'  He responds, 'My 09 mustang produces 350hp with 400ft lbs of torque I added a cold air intake and exhaust so it gives more than stock.'  Then I respond, 'you sure about what you have and thats to the wheels and did you dyno it?"

His last response was, 'NO I did not dyno it, but I did read Road and Track testing on it and they said the V8 mustang gives 300HP and with me adding the CAI and exhaust that bumps it up 50hps because the box said for my CAI up to 30hp and exhaust 20hp'

After this I giggled he responded back with reading about road and track about his cars HP which is not even to the wheels and then adds in the, "i read what I added and totaled up the HP from there'

WOW, didnt know people still acted this way....


He said one more thing to me, "can you even burn out in that car since your such low HP/TQ and its so big.....

First off, I've found FB is checked full of automotive idiots. Very few even know anything bout cars, making power, or what the REAL term of 'Street Car' means.
they usually have the "majority" thinking the idiotic way they do, so you are fighting an uphill battle.
last one I got into was with Murder Nova and how his minion followers kept saying they were street cars.
Some people will act like Sheeple and blindly follow while others will refuse, and attempt to 'show the light'

He got to me under my skin for like 20mins of this and I couldnt understand how a grown man could think like this  but he was blatanly serious about it.  At first I wanted to educate him about power to wheels vs engine power, but he was not having it then I just gave up and said forget it.

If you do want to make the attempt to educate your friend.  Dare him publicly to take his car to the dyno and make a bet out of it.  For every hp over 350 at the rear wheels you'll give him 2 bucks and for every increment below his prediction he has to give you 1.

Psh.  It took Ford decades after the 60's to put 300 hp back in the Mustang GT; GM had 300hp Camaro's and F-birds since '98 (10 years before your friend's car) that would run door to door with your friend, and the '93-'97's would be right behind your friend's bumper;  pre-5.0 Mustang GT people have NOTHING to brag about...
