:ahum:  so which one of the ignitions below are correct for a 1969 charger?  And what car does the smaller one go to if not a charger?

Troy

Smaller one is 1962-1968. The longer ones with the large bezel are 1969 only. After that they went to the column.

None are Charger specific. They fit all Chryslers of those years.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

And even though they now repop the 69 only one, I wouldn't get rid of it just yet. ;)

I plan on keeping it.  I have the keys for it and the door/ trunk locks so an well.  Just wanted to make sure which one goes to what, and which one I can out up for sale.

Then obviously the short one must be a special Hemi one which can easily retrofit other cars.  :o

Dealers still have the earlier versions in stock AND they're available aftermarket. They aren't worth a whole lot used. I don't know about the lock cylinders though. The 69 only version was nearly unobtainable there for a while (once dealer stock was depleted) but it is now being reproduced. I once bought an entire box of NOS ones because someone I knew needed one. I think I still have several - I just don't know where the box is in the garage!

Thats why you have to embellish the ad for the short style, its common availability.  :icon_smile_big:

Lol... "Shorter ignition = quicker starting time due to the length of inner coil". Woot woot!!
