Thank you  to every body on this forum that have posted all the pics and the play by play how too's ..Very awesome !
I have spent a lot of hours researching, Thank you all.
The history of my 68... Bought it from a kid in Jacksonville Fl Jan 2007 off E Bay. He claimed it to have 2 - 5 % rust at most,
and a very strong freshly rebuilt 318. He bought it from the original owner that bought it new in 1967 and drove it daily till the kid bought it in 2005.
He painted it Richard Petty blue, looked like with a paint roller, very bad. He pissed around for a long time getting the transport to pick it up.
It took 3 months to get it to Saskatoon Sask. Canada, so of course I could not file a claim against him through E Bay.
When I finally got it, it would barely start and run, couldn't drive it around the block without getting stranded, a total piece of crap, but it was a 68 Charger.
First off, had Maaco paint it flat black, put on some 68 Hot Wheels, also bought a 68 440 turn key 550 hp engine from the kid, that took 4 months to show up.
The 440 blew up after about 50 miles, the cam lobes trickled through the engine, and done ! March 2009 sent it off to the body shop, then everything got real deep.
Got it home in June after 4 +  years, that's when the fun started putting it all back together. Spent the last couple months finding all the parts the body shop lost.
Bought everything from AMD. Full quarters, floors, trunk, roof skin, inner & outer wells, fenders, package tray, deck filler, trunk lid, front & rear valance etc. etc. etc.
Now I have a rust free Monster, it turned out very nice!!! So I hope you all enjoy the pics over the next while.
It rolled out of the factory in 67, special order     Metallic Silver, Black top, Air, Rear speakers, Blue interior, buckets, console, 318, auto, as best as I can remember.
Again, THANK YOU ALL,  Blair

So did you unload the car from the semi real quick and then it went straigtht to the paint shop within 5mins?  How did you get the paint to dry so fast to post pics?

With the good old Canadian deep freeze

clemfor

Now maybe 5 - 8 % rust ?

clemfor

Another maybe .05% rust

There should always be some happy times.

After peeling off the roof skin, the sub structure was not nice. A bit of English wheel, cut, grind, weld,
and bam, a bit of primer, good as new.
