No title. Slant 6 with a 3 on the tree and no options that I see other than maybe a radio. I'm surprised the floor boards are as solid as they are with the quarters as bad as they are.

By the time you're done you will have 30k into that car, and that's doing most of the work yourself.

So a cheap Charger shows up and first three responses are complaints. I guess haters gonna hate.

I see no a  problem making a very nice car out of this one for under $15 k.

I think it will end up around 15k by the time the auction ends..... people be cray :rotz:

Also based on the rust on the back, the solid frame, rotten trunk, and colour, this car is like the 69 equivalent to what my car may have looked like before it was parted out  :scratchchin:

I have to agree with you, the 2 I posted yesterday were 3x the coin and wayyyy worse.
At least this one is starting off at a reasonable price...

Not hating Cooter. Just making a statement based on the costs I have incurred while working on my 68. Someone with limited mechanical and bodywork skills would have a hard time achieving a 15k budget with that car based on the condition and missing parts

Not that bad of a price right now for a project with solid frame rails & floor. Yeah, looks like just the back half is the worst of it.
Depending on how nice you want to make it $30K is not unheard of at all. No interior, drivetrain, etc.
The bidding would be higher for sure if there was a title.

It does seem that a lot of times we focus immediately on the negative, but it's the negative things about some of these cars up for sale that will bite you in the butt once you get it home and start the work. But I have seen much worse than this one.

I hope someone picks it up and saves it.

Problem is that it'll be worth 11K when done.

Without getting to inspect it in person it could either be a bondo buggy that also need doors, roof, deck lid, & fenders on top of what it needs that can be seen in the pics. Many cars that have been for sale have been in much worse shape based on just pics. The fact that this one has what appears to be good frame rails, makes it a decent car to start with as a blank canvas. If someone already has a car that is complete but rotted beyond use, they'd already have all the hard to find items that aren't being reproduced & have to only focus on gathering the sheet metal & the drive train.

I think Cooter is right that you could have a nice cruiser for $15k as long as you don't expect a concourse show car. I know if I choose not to turn my Charger into a Daytona replica that I can do mine as a stock, 440 Charger for that or less. Having access to certain things, even just cores, can make a big difference. If people can get away from the idea that you need to spend $10,000 on paint, or a crate motor for $8000 then you have a head start at a project that won't require a 2nd mortgage.

:2thumbs: Well done----It seems that the majority of conversation here is about the rusty beginnings of something to enjoy and the finished car that we are afraid to drive.

The vast middle is where most of us are.  A reasonable start can be had for reasonable money. and it can be fixed to be driven with affordable money mixed with the fun part of this hobby doing most ourselves.

I say to those that are just starting their first project ---resist getting bogged down with anal details and move forward to a fun driver that you can say I did it myself .

Leave the numbers matching one of none type cars for those that are building a museum piece that they are afraid to enjoy driving.

BTW it would be better for the hobby as a whole if we see more chargers on the street and not hidden :Twocents:

Looks like a pretty good start for a project to me, not sure I want to see what it ends up going for though...

Oh, and I want that passenger door panel.  :D

I want to know more.

There was a magazine write up on a Kaw Z1 V8---A guy married two engines into a V that shared the crank.

Hmm  Two slant sixes could make a v12 and with hemi heads--- :2thumbs:--or  :shruggy:----or  :slap:

Why do you guys act like its gonna end at 3k for price?  As somoene mentioned it will end up at 10k to 15k auctions end then the person will dump 15k into it to get it to running condition then sell it for 15k.

To me it's more of a desirability issue than having something rare. They only made a few of them for a reason and it wasn't because everyone wanted them.

If that's your sole motivation...money....then get the f*ck outta this hobby. You, along with BJ, along with flippers are ruining this hobby.

And if that person is that stupid of a flipper, then they deserve the big "D" in the "A".
Who the he'll cares if I t takes $15k to put this thing back on the road??
Its another Charger saved. Why is it every time an auction comes up we act like the very dic-heads we hate???
Why do we watch BJ auctions and crucify someone on Craig's list?
Why aren't we launching a protest to Nat. GEO. for airing that piss poor excuse of a pricing guide?

The real problem is I see people making comments about how this movie, or that movie destroyed so many chargers, and then in the same breath, these same people have the balls to crucify a Craigslist ad.
