Just saw a black '68 R/T pass through the Mecum Auction on the tube....

It went for $32,000, which was not a bad price. What caught my ear/attention was what one of the commentators said: "A lot of people thought that this was the best looking muscle car of the '60's, and I will not disagree with that." Nice, hearing a public confirmation to a disparate audience on what we all already know.  ;)  He also said that, and I'm paraphrasing, "the one thing wrong with the Bullit movie was that McQueen was not driving the black Charger".  Happy Friday to all.  :2thumbs:

Just finished watching it on Velocity network. I liked the 67' Coronet 500 conv. w/ 440ci - 13K$. Great pricing on that and the 65' Barracuda.

"Only" $32K?  There's a rust bucket for sale out there with a racoon living in it going for almost half as much...

This is a repeat correct? I thought Mecum moved to the NBC Sports network in 2014?

The 17th was the first Mecum show of the year, in Kissimmee. I attached a list of some of the Dodges sold yesterday.

Mecum moved off the Velocity channel and to the NBC networks here in the States.  New auctions are show on Esquire, NBC Sports Network, and NBC itself.  Currently the auction is in the early days (low dollar cars) and has only been on Esquire.

Thanks for the post Dan!! :2thumbs:

Do we know if it was a REAL RT or a recreation? That seems kinda low for the real deal.

Thank again for the info.

I don't know. There was no additional information posted on Mecum's website.
