This one came up last year around auction week in Scottsdale. Very pretty car with lots of potential. Kind of wish I had an extra $19500 to barter with.

Looks pretty damn good to me as-is.  I'd buy it and then drive the heck out of it...

The carpet, dash and heater control all need to replaced.  Not a bad buy at all though.

Yeah, It wouldn't take a lot to whip that car into fine shape........front bumper has a pretty good twist to it though! Buy a couple wheel centers, Adjust the rear valence up a little, fix the front valence and do some interior work, You'd have a great car!   Oh! and get a set of G-60 Polyglas GTs for it.

nice starting point that's for sure    :yesnod:

what is it with column shift autos in muscle cars   :shruggy:    over here they were for granny cars  :eek2:

It doesn't look bad, I wouldn't mind picking it up. But I don't believe the ad where it says "no rust what so ever". A close look at the open trunk pic would indicate otherwise.
A desirable Charger R/T none the less.

Yep, the console shifted automatic cars were a lot faster than the column shifted cars.  ::) ;D

Back in the day the Street Racers who ordered these cars wanted column shifters because their thinking was 1- Console added weight  and 2- Many cars back then didn't have a reverse lockout so they didn't want to have to look that far down to watch the shifter when shifting . You have to keep in mind most cars up to that time were all column shifted so that's what they grew up with . They could shift easier and faster with a column shift .
Lots of people talkin' , few of them know

And easier to get six people in the car with you.  Or one who needed to sit very close (you know, to help you drive). :icon_smile_wink:

I'm thinking now a Daytona clone...I see forum members selling the front pieces and wings figure I would need 6k for those amd them build a reliable driver again like what I have.

I like the car, but wonder how this thing works without an air cleaner.

Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Best looking grille on the 3rd gens right there - even better than the hideaways if you ask me.

He is trying to get in on the BJ frenzy lol...19k and the trunk looks like shit.  If he gets 19k I should get 30k for mine....holy crap...

That is the double pumper in the rear......it kicks in when needed like VTEC on Hondas.

I'm a big fan of the hideaways too.  I think they should have been standard on the RT and N/A on the Super Bee for 71.
