I started installing these two stainless trim pieces on the quarter trim.  I was working on this with a light source inside the car and noticed light peeking to the outside.  So what I'm saying is that there is a small gap that I'm assuming should be sealed to prevent water from running inside after it is caught by the drip rails.  What am I missing here, a gasket of some sort???

Do you have sealant in the drip rail?

no sealant.  I was told that the belt strip on the top of the doors didnt come with any sealers, gasgets or foam strips. And the same for the rear quarter belt trim and curve that attaches to drip channel at the end of the roof line.  still cant find anything online as to how this curved peice will prevent water from entering inside the vehicle  :shruggy:

No nothing in there , where do you think water goes off all your side glass, that's why you have drain holes in the bottoms of doors , sills , quarters, and why there is a plastic liner put on before our door trims, etc, don't stress about it , it how all cars are built

I didn't mean sealer in the gap, but in the drain channels on the roofline.  Sorry.

Yep.

440 Mag.....It is startling the first time you see that.....but it's normal poor fit/design.
