Maybe not the fastest car on the track (in '68) due to the hosed up aerodynamics.....but she does stand out in a crowd.   :2thumbs:

Ghoste

No, not the fastest.  Judging by the starting position I'd say 2nd fastest.  :icon_smile_big:

On the inside, 5th row back - is that a 1st gen?

3rd car back on the outer row - starting a race with the front corner already crunched?

Possible caution restart? I claim to know nothing bout stupid roundy round racing.

Yes it is a first gen and not everyone returned each week with perfect sheet metal back then.  For all we know it was crunched in qualifying or even in the pits or it may be as mentyioned and its a restart.  :shruggy:
I'd almost bet one of the aero guys know though.

My initial impression when I first saw the photo was the predominance of white.   The cars, pit workers, etc.

And a dark Charger (red car I think)  ..........front center.

Looks cool.

could of happened in practice.

Looks like Darlington

Homerr

I see a '68 Charger and a bunch of generic cars, really no comparison on style.

Sublime/Sixpack

Looks like there's a 1st Gen. Charger, and a Road Runner in there too.

No need for aerodynamics, he prolly had a 426 in there....

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

Ghoste

It would have been nice if that were enough but the slicked up Fords and the big FE gave us fits.

IIRC, at one time "whites" were mandatory wear for pit crew.
